Hello, 2023!

This year, I’ve decided to try something new. I’ve toyed with the idea of starting a blog after reading about it in a blog about how to grow an art business. It appealed to me, but at the time I wasn’t in a good place to start. The idea of having somewhere I can write my thoughts is therapeutic. I could have a journal I write in, but I want to share these thoughts too. I could use standard social media, but sharing tidbits about our lives has never appealed to me. So blogging it is!

I’ll be keeping this blog about me and my experiences. Anything from art projects, stream plans, and self-reflection; they’ll be here. The current plan is to post every Saturday. I’m going through a LOT of self-improvement and can’t guarantee I’ll commit to this schedule if I don’t find it fitting me. So for now, it’s a post as I please blog!

Also, I’ve realized I could keep these conversations to my streams but there’s one flaw there: you have to be there live. This is fine, but these posts will contain things I’d rather make available.

I want you all to know me and I want you to know me better, too. Life is hard and hasn’t been the kindest to me, and processing my issues is challenging. It’s making me realize I don’t know myself since I’ve always relied on trying to fit a mold to please everyone else. So here’s to getting to know me!

To wrap things up, here are the goals I have with starting this blogging adventure:

• Don’t sweat the deadlines. Blogging is for my thoughts to flow and I won’t make this a major commitment. If I set a strict schedule and can’t fit it into my life, it will wreck me. I need to work on re-prioritizing my life and this is a nice way of tracking my progress and sharing it. So no sweat!
• All about me. A very selfish goal because I am a very selfless person. I hate claiming to be selfless because it’s egotistical and gross. This is a blog about me though, and I need to remind myself that that’s okay!
• Reflect and grow. This is what I want to achieve through blogging. I spent a lot of 2022 finally starting to conquer my issues and past. I can hardly remember how I was years ago compared to now. I want to have a way of seeing my progress and this is a good way of doing that.
